I am so tired. So very, very, very tired.
12 and a half more working days of this mess…
We’re going through a very busy time at work. Even though it seems like we might catch up before our 8/31 overtime deadline, I think something else might come up to make us work longer. I have vacation coming up and am hearing little jokes about it and how I will miss the first half of next month, when this phase is scheduled to end.
I didn’t know we would cut off so early. I thought we were going until the end of October. Working 53 hour (or more) weeks isn’t fun at all. Mandatory Tuesdays until 9. I get in at 8:45 and leave at 7, barely taking time for myself for lunch (using like 15 minutes to do that). It’s taking its toll but I am blessed. I pray I make it through and get everything ready that I need for my vacation, to which I am very much looking forward.
Now, I’m home from a very good but tiring workout. I need to eat. I got some news I don’t like from a friend I was supposed to visit in November. We’ll see how this plays out, I guess. Nothing much else going on. My eyes are burning, I want to sleep forever, and my neighbors above me are going at it. She must like it fast and pounding (or he was close to finishing). Aaaand now they’re done.
Well, that’s my update for today. I didn’t have time to scroll Twitter much today for current events. I’m sure Romney said or did something dumb. Obama continued to swag it out. Some right-winger blamed some left-winger for violence against someone else.
But a bright spot to my day was my friend Kim who read my blog, tweeted about it, and then shouted it and me out on Facebook. One of her friends liked one of my posts enough to say, “right on” out loud! Yay!
