This is my first tech post on this blog. I own a Macbook, iPhone, and iPod. I hope to buy an iPad soon and a new Macbook with Retina Display within the next year. Only God knows how. At least I hope to have it around for about 5-6 years before buying a new one. That’s my only justification for paying that much money for a computer I feel should be about $1000 cheaper.
Moving on, the best Twitter app I’ve found for my iPhone is Tweetbot. I love the layout, the ease of use, the simple functionality, and the care that the coders take in incorporating changes from feedback. I have always wanted a better Twitter client to use on my Macbook aside from Twitter or Twitter for Web. I tried Janetta and it’s annoying to me. There’s too much going on. I will NOT use TweetDeck because I have it on my work computer and it freezes, doesn’t post half the time, and I do not have as much flexibility as I have with Tweetbot.
I had always wanted Tweetbot on the Mac and it is now available! It is an alpha software for now and we are to use it and report back all bugs we find. I used it last night and noted some refresh issues and how a window sometimes appears to the very far left of the screen when quoting someone, but overall it is just like the phone and I am very happy with it.
I look forward to the team working on this version and making it as great an app for the Mac as it is for the iPhone!
If you haven’t tried Tweetbot for your iPhone, I encourage you to try it and let me know how much you like it (or don’t like it).
